Once
upon a time...
the A.V. ZOGG, Jr. Auction Team was founded in the seven valleys
of Cortland, NY.
In
1952, Al Zogg, Jr. graduated from the Reppert School of Auctioneering
and entered into the Auction Business. In the early years A.V.
Zogg, Sr. helped clerk auctions in the rain, snow or shine. Auctions
ranged from all sizes and were from throughout the Aidirondacks
to the Easten Shore of Maryland.

Al
Zogg, Sr. & Al Zogg, Jr. were also partners in Glensite Stock
Farm which was established in 1839 and is presently still dairy
farming. The farm is located just off exit 10 Interstate 81 in
Cortland, NY. Next door is the Xenodocha Stock Farm and home
of Zogg Livestock, Cortland Auction Sale Pavilion and Home Base
of the A.V. ZOGG, Jr. & Associates Auction Company.
To
expand marketing potential, private treaty sales were also common
with real estate, cattle and machinery. Al grew as a General
Auctioneer specializing in any type of auction. Auction business
included farm sales, college dairy cattle sales, estate marketing,
heavy and light equipment, inventory reduction sales, (residential,
commercial, industrial, agricultural and investment real estate),
benefit sales, secured creditors & bankruptcy liquidations
and dependable appraisals.
Today, the family business includes Al, Jr., Brent, Carl, and Julia Zogg and goes 4 generations deep. The company policy has always been the same, "Whatever Thy Do, Thy Do With All Thy Might! ".
